Meet Dr. David Pico, DC
Dr. David Pico has been a chiropractor since 1993 and opened his private practice in New York City in 1995. He is an honors graduate of Life Chiropractic College in Georgia where he had the privilege of studying under and training with several of the profession’s top doctors. This unique clinical experience, combined with a complete understanding of the principles upon which make chiropractic a unique healing art such as homeostasis and the role of an optimum functioning nervous system in health, have given Dr. Pico the ability to help patients at the highest level.
His compassion, warmth and commitment to patient results has gained him professional acclaim through the celebrities, athletes and Broadway stars who seek his care.
Dr. Pico is a member of the New York Chiropractic Council, the International Chiropractors Association and the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. He is also Webster Technique Certified.
The son of educators, his father was an elementary school principal for thirty five years. Upon his passing, his school was renamed in his honor – The Pico Elementary School in Belleville, NJ. Dr. Pico has made a personal commitment to continue his family tradition through his chosen profession and gives his time and expertise to children with great passion and enthusiasm. He is actively engaged in ongoing health education programs for children such as Straighten Up America, Backpack Safety America, Chiropractic Career Days and as a guest speaker on health and wellness related topics in grades K-12.
Previously a board member of The Book Bank Foundation, a literacy promotion non-profit, Dr. Pico is very excited to announce that he has recently joined the board of directors of the James Jay Dudley Luce Foundation. This foundation is committed to Arts, Education and Orphan Care domestically and internationally.
Meet Victoria Nattboy, Certified Health Coach & Office Manager
Victoria Nattboy, CHC lives in Staten Island, New York. She is a mother to four wonderful children. Victoria graduated on the Dean’s List from Malcolm King College in Bronx, New York. Victoria was a Montessori Elementary School teacher to special needs children.
Victoria’s passion, however, is in the healthcare field. She graduated from the US Career Institute as a certified patient care technician. She also graduated from the New Beginnings Institute, a partner school from the College Of Staten Island, as a certified Dona Labor Doula and Lactation Coach and Consultant. She is also a certified health coach specializing in nutrition and integrative health. Victoria loves working for the Pico Family Chiropractic Center. She is the office manager and receptionist. Victoria feels truly blessed to work for such a dedicated and caring doctor as Dr. Pico.
Meet Young Ahn, Acupuncturist
Young Ahn is a graduate from renowned Swedish Institute earned AOS, School of Visual Arts earned BFA, and Pacific College of Oriental Medicine earned Masters Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine, which is a four-year graduate program with 178.5 units and 3307.5 credit hours of theory and clinical practice in both eastern and western medicine. He is certified in CCAOM (Council of Colleges of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine Clean Needle Technique).
As an acupuncturist, Young combines eastern philosophy and practice with western science. He is currently licensed and seeing patients in New York and New Jersey.
Meet Clara Kumiko Ueki, Licensed Massage Therapist
Clara Kumiko Ueki (aka Kumi) LMT, CDT, CAR is a graduate of the Swedish Institute, raised in Japan, India, and Portland, Oregon. Her unique upbringing has given her an original and interesting way of seeing and understanding human physiology and possibilities.
She works with western modalities such as Lymphatic Drainage, Myofascial Release, Deep Tissue, under the philosophy of Eastern Medicine based on Five Elements, Reiki, and Seitai. She communicates with each body holistically, intuitively and respectfully. She has gifted healing hands to promote the healing energy of the individual body and works together with integrity and harmony.
In her spear time, she enjoys dancing Argentine Tango (2007 US Salon Style – Bronze Medalist) and working out Gyrotonics. She is a survivor of 9/11 and feels grateful to live her life full with love and joy.
